Congressional Art Competition Entries on View at ASU’s West Campus

Art works produced by talented high school students from across Arizona’s Second Congressional District will be on display throughout the month of May at Arizona State University’s West campus. Approximately 100 students submitted entries for the annual Congressional District High School Arts Contest. Categories include paintings, drawings, collage, prints, mixed media, computer-generated art, and photography.

The winner will earn the honor of having his or her work displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building for one year. Judges include professors from ASU’s Interdisciplinary Arts and Performance Department and representatives of the West Valley Art Museum.

The exhibit of entries is on display until May 31 in Fletcher Library at ASU’s West campus, 4701 W. Thunderbird Road in Phoenix. Visitors may view the exhibit during regular Library hours. There is no admission charge. Visitor parking on campus costs $2 per hour.
