May 19, 2008 ASU Technopolis Workshops
ASU Technopolis is holding two related workshops on June 5 and 6 on the second floor of ASU-SkySong in Scottsdale. The first, the Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) Phase I Writing Proposal Workshop, will be an eight-hour session targeting early-stage, first-time or unsuccessful writers of SBIR/STTR program Phase I proposals. It will teach participants a structured SBIR grant-writing methodology demonstrated to be highly successful.
The second, the Strategic Alliances Workshop targets SBIR/STTR proposal writers and award winners seeking to build a successful SBIR/STTR alliance and will include a networking reception. Attendees will hear from, ASU Technopolis entrepreneurial coach, Sharon Ballard, and a group of guest speakers and panelists, including prime contractors, who will discuss an overview of strategic alliances, legal best practices and suggestions, an investors view of strategic alliances, how to build a successful alliance, as well as university and corporate perspectives of strategic alliances.
